CAREGIVER There are 2 pilot programs which started in 2019 The Home Child Care Provider Pilot and the Home Support Worker pilot are 5 years pilot programs, which offers an opportunity for foreign national to come to Canada and achieved their goal of becoming permanent residents. Any qualified employer willing to hire you or you have been working in Canada for 1 year as a caregiver may qualify for these programs. The major changes made in 2019, by the government of Canada exempted the requirement of LMIA for caregivers. In these programs, applicants will become permanent residents after acquiring 2 years of work experience as a Home Child Care Provider and Home Support Worker. The major benefits of these programs for candidates are that they can bring their family members along with them for the visit, study, or work, while the main applicant gets work experience.
